Gerhard Baur - President

Born on the Bodensee in Bavaria, today Baur lives in Kempten. In 1968 he began his career as an author and director of documentaries and films primarily dedicated to his alpine adventures. He has produced over 60 documentaries about the mountains. His works have been honored at film festivals throughout the world. In 2002, he recieved the Grand Prize from the International Alliance of Mountain Films.

Averardo Amadio

National advisor of WWF Italia, founding member, and president--for 18 years--of WWF Veneto,  Amadio is an expert on natural parks, and one of the principal promoters of the Baldo and Adige Parks.  As a member of the scientific committee of the Natural Park of the Lessinia, he has worked on problems concerning eco-compatible environmental protection and development of the mountains.

Marjeta Kesic-Svetel

Marjeta Kesic-Svetel

Born in Ljubljana, Svetel studied history and ethnology and then worked for Slovenia National Television. She is the author of television programs and documentaries dedicated to the cultural and natural patrimony of Slovenia. She is the director of the program Gore in Ljudje (Mountains and People) and serves on the editorial committee of Planinski vestnik, the most important Slovenian magazine dedicated to the mountains.

Sandro Gastinelli

Born in Cuneo, as a young man Gastinelli cultivated his passion for cinema. In 1990, along with his wife Marzia Pelligrino, he founded Studiouno Produzioni Televisive of Boves.  With the film Speak of Kyè, in 1996 he began a period of prolific film and documentary production and directing about his mountains, the western Alps of Piedmont.

Giovanni Padovani

Giovanni Padovani

Journalist and writer, accademic member of the Gruppo Italiano Scrittori di Montagna, Padovani is the director of the magazine Rivista della Giovane Montagna and collaborates with the magazine of the Club Alpino Italiano. He has been a component and president of the Trento Filmfestival, in addition to other European mountain film festivals.

Italo Zandonella Callegher

Born in Dosoledo, in Comèlico, alpine climber and writer Callegher is an honorary academic member of the Club Alpino Italiano and the Gruppo Italiano Scrittori di Montagna.  He is the editorial director of the Club Alpino Italiano and of "Le Dolomiti Bellunesi", as well as the author of many excursion guides and important works on the alpine history of the eastern Dolomites. He has been the president of the Trento Filmfestival since 2003.

Piero Zanotto

Piero Zanotto

Venetian, journalist, cinema and theater critic, Zannotto has written for Il Gazzettino for 40 years. He has published approximately 20 books about the cinema, with a particular interest in films about the mountains, about which he is a prominent expert.  For 10 years (1977-1986) he was the director  of the Trento Filmfestival. He is the retrospective film curator of the Mostra del Cinema di Venezia and regularly participates on national and international film juries.
